Oana Niculita is the Head of Sales and Marketing of John M Henderson, the Scottish engineering company, one of the world’s leading suppliers of Coke Oven Machinery.
Oana has been working in the coke making industry for more than a decade and has had the opportunity of visiting many Coke Making plants in the world, witnessing firsthand the technical and operational challenges of the coke making operators worldwide. Oana’s main interests lie in the environmental and technological aspects of the coke-making, with special focus on developing technological solutions for improving the quality of the air and life for people working and living near the coke batteries.
Oana is a Chartered Manager and a member of the Coke Oven Managers Association in the UK, as well as a regular speaker at coke making congresses worldwide. Professional qualifications include an Honours degree in Business Administration, Masters Degree in Economics from the Universities of Freiburg, Germany and Lisbon, Portugal and a PhD in development with the University of Dundee, Scotland. She has worked as a business consultant for major multinational companies and has published a number of books and papers in the areas of strategic marketing.
In 1986 he graduated Faculty of Technology and Chemical Engineering of the Silesian Technical University - Gliwice (Poland) and obtained Ph. D. at the same University in 1993. The main interest of his research works include coke making technology and thermal processing of solid fuels and wastes.
At present he is Director of the Institute of Chemical Processing of Coal in Zabrze. He is a member of Polish Standardisation Commission, expert of Polish Ecological Chamber and member of European Coke Committee.
His is an author of more then 100 scientific and technical papers and 10 patents.
Graduated in Metallurgical Engineering and Master and Ph.D on coal and biocarbon combustion for PCI in blast furnaces at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Currently acts as Research and Development Specialist at Tecnored Technological Development S.A, focused on sustainable development of biomass carbonization for ironmaking.
Ranjana von Wendland is the lead in covering European coking coal, met coke, steel and scrap markets in the Atlantic Basin. She covers pricing for coking coal, met coke, scrap and thermal coal in Atlantic Basin and writes for various McCloskey Publications. In her six years of service at McCloskey, she has covered almost all aspects of energy value chain. Previously, she covered European gas and LNG markets at other energy publications. She holds an MA in Financial Journalism from City University, London and MBA from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi.
Natalie is the global head of Wood Mackenzie’s thermal coal markets research for the Metals and Mining group. She has over 15 years of experience in the global coal and energy industry; authoring reports, forecasting markets and model development, and financial valuation of individual mining assets.
She joined Wood Mackenzie in 2007 and initially helped to develop new coal market forecasts for the short-term. Her work quickly expanded to international markets and eventually led to managing Wood Mackenzie’s global coal markets products.
She has played an integral role in the evolution of the Wood Mackenzie’s Coal Market Service products over the years, providing product enhancements and better integration across market sectors. She previously led commercial strategy efforts for the coal research group and currently focuses on the delivery of essential industry data and insightful analysis of thermal coal globally.
Prior to Wood Mackenzie, Natalie had worked in US-based coal research and consulting, gaining experience with linear programming models for forecasting US coal prices, supply and demand.
Natalie holds a Master’s in Finance, MBA, and a BS in business economics.
Benoit Fecamp is Solar Turbines EAME Market development manager. He has been working in the energy business for 20 years holding various positions in R&D, Systems engineering, process improvement and business development. He holds a master’s degree in Energy engineering from National Institute of Applied Sciences in Rouen, France and an executive MBA from the SDA Bocconi school of management in Milan, Italy. His expertise is in decarbonization strategies, hydrogen, renewable and process off-gas utilization.
