Jiao Yong (James), Executive Deputy General Manager of International Business of China Risun Group, and Chief Marketing Officer of Pt. Risun Weishan Indonesia, holds a master’s degree in English Language and Literature from Beijing Institute of Technology. He joined Risun in 2007, and he is now in charge of the domestic coke sales in South-East China, the import and export of coal, coke and chemicals of Risun China, and the procurement and sales of Risun Indonesia.
Mr. J.K.Nanda has an experience of 35 yrs in Mining and Steel Industry and currently working as Managing Partner (Trade) – BALTA SA, Poland. Prior to joining BALTA, he was working as Chief Commercial Officer – Essar Mining and Metal Business Group looking after the complete commercial & procurement division. He has a vast experience in Mining /Steel and Power and Aluminium Industries.
He is an MSc.Tech in Applied Geology from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, Bihar, and Ex-MBA from ITM Khargar, affiliated with Hampshire University, US, and Doctorate in Management Studies from Indian Institute of Business Management & Studies, Mumbai & International Executive -Master in Business from SDA, Bocconi, Italy in the year 2024.

Erdal Unal is the R&D Manager for Raw Materials and Ironmaking at ERDEMIR, Turkey’s largest flat steel producer. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and, Master's degree in Mining Engineering. He has over 10 years of experience in raw material technologies, ironmaking processes, and carbon reduction strategies for the steel industry.
Mr. Unal’s research focuses on sustainable steel production, including hydrogen-based reduction, biochar utilization, low-carbon briquetting and pelletizing technologies, and the development of advanced process optimization techniques in blast furnace and sinter operations. He also leads ERDEMIR’s participation in several EU-funded innovation projects, collaborating with international partners to advance green transformation in metallurgy.
Timo Huhtala, M.Sc. (Industrial management & engineering), is the General Manager of Outokumpu EvoCarbon, the unit responsible for developing bio-based raw material supply and exploring new technologies and investment opportunities in carbon capture and new energy solutions at Outokumpu. With over 20 years of experience in the stainless steel industry, he has a strong track record in leadership, business transformation, and strategic financial management. Throughout his career, Mr. Huhtala has held several key positions at Outokumpu, driving investment decisions, as part of business leadership teams leading business controlling functions, and shaping corporate strategies. In his current role, he is spearheading efforts to reinforce Outokumpu’s commitment to carbon reduction, circularity, and innovation, helping to drive the transition toward more sustainable stainless steel production.
Mark manages European coal sales and US coal sourcing for M Resources and is based in London. Prior to this he spent a decade working in metallurgical coal marketing for South32 and BHP in London and Singapore.
Chris Bandmann joined Wood Mackenzie in January of 2023. He is responsible for delivering comprehensive research coverage of the Atlantic basin’s metallurgical coal sector including supply, demand, pricing and costs, with a primary focus on Europe.
Prior to joining Wood Mac Chris worked at CRU, performing market analysis on the European steel markets.
Chris holds an MSc and a BSc in Economics from the University of Exeter in the UK.
