Chris Bandmann joined Wood Mackenzie in January of 2023. He is responsible for delivering comprehensive research coverage of the Atlantic basin’s metallurgical coal sector including supply, demand, pricing and costs, with a primary focus on Europe.
Prior to joining Wood Mac Chris worked at CRU, performing market analysis on the European steel markets.
Chris holds an MSc and a BSc in Economics from the University of Exeter in the UK.
Pushpa Ambrose holds a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, an MBA in Finance, and a PG
Diploma in Industrial Safety and Fire Safety. Currently serving as the General Manager Safety at the new Steel Melting Shop-3 of Bhilai Steel Plant, a part of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). With expertise in managing thermal and hydraulic regimes of 7m tall Coke Oven Batteries, she has also led the construction and rebuilding of battery complexes. Pushpa's strategies have ensured 100% safety in gas line network maintenance through introducing U seals and in steel melting shops through innovative approaches. Recognized with numerous awards including the National Young Women Trainer Award, IIM’s MECON Award, Best paper award in 77th Annual Technical Meeting of The Indian Institute of Metals and International Conference on Metals, and Best Safety Officer Award at BSP 2023, her contributions extend to numerous paper presentation on coke making improvements, decarbonisation strategies, and steel safety. As a distinguished faculty, Pushpa imparts knowledge on management, technical,
and safety topics at BSP.
Stanislav Zinchenko has 15-year experience in consulting for manufacturing companies. He has expertise in operational management and supply chains. Team leader and consultant in international projects in the field of green policies, green energy transformation, circular economy. Stanislav has a MA in International Economics at Kyiv National Economic University.
Alessandro Sciamarelli holds the position of Director of Economic Studies and Market Analysis at the European Steel Association (EUROFER) based in Brussels, where he carries out economic research and analysis linked to the steel sector. Prior to joining EUROFER, he held for over ten years equivalent positions at other Brussels-based European associations (namely in the mortgage lending sector and the cement sector) and, before that, he worked for the Economic Studies Office of a leading cement and construction group in Rome and for the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) in Maastricht. He has dual nationality (Italian and Belgian) and he holds a PhD in Economics (1999) and a degree in political science (1995) from the University of Pisa, Italy.
Anand Mohan Srivastava is a seasoned mining industry expert with over 32 years of experience across Asia and Latin America. He holds an M.Tech in Applied Geology from IIT Roorkee and an MBA in Finance. As a strategic leader, he has positioned Peruvian Anthracite on the global stage, leading major transformations that earned the company the Peruvian Company of the Year 2022 and Latin America Quality Industry 2023 awards.
Anand is a frequent speaker at major industry events. In 2025, he presented at the McCloskey Steel & Ferroalloy Conference in Cape Town and the Coal Conferences of the Americas in Cartagena, sharing insights on global markets, Latin America’s role, and the rise of Peruvian anthracite.
He is known for combining technical expertise with business strategy to drive impactful results, and outside of work, he promotes holistic well-being through yoga, meditation, and running.
Mark has over 20 years’ experience as a resource and energy consultant in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the United States, including 5 years as a coal market analyst for Rio Tinto and 15 years as a coal market consultant. Mark’s significant coal market experience includes global market analysis of both coking and thermal coal markets, coal marketing, country studies, pricing forecasts, demand and supply modelling, strategic analysis and asset/market due diligence for asset transactions. Mark has built and led international consulting teams in the mining sector, and delivered strategic country coal studies on China, India, SE Asia, Indonesia and Canada for international mining, investment and infrastructure clients. He is a regular speaker at international coal market events and is often called upon as an Expert Witness for legal proceedings.
