Mateusz Klejnowski has been involved in the coke industry since the beginning of his career. He is currently the Head of Development Office at JSW KOKS S.A., one of the largest producers of coke and by-products in Europe. He also works as a manager of R&D projects, including strategic projects for JSW Capital Group.
His areas of interest include: new technologies, renewable energy sources and environmental protection.
Currently, in cooperation with his parent company and the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in implementation, funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Poland.
Chris Bandmann joined Wood Mackenzie in January of 2023. He is responsible for delivering comprehensive research coverage of the Atlantic basin’s metallurgical coal sector including supply, demand, pricing and costs, with a primary focus on Europe.
Prior to joining Wood Mac Chris worked at CRU, performing market analysis on the European steel markets.
Chris holds an MSc and a BSc in Economics from the University of Exeter in the UK.
Pranay Shukla is Head of Metals Trading Research and CAS Dry Bulk at S&P Global Energy, where he leads trading-focused analysis across the metals and dry bulk value chains. His work focuses on identifying market dislocations and translating supply–demand dynamics into actionable insights for trading houses, funds, shipowners, and industrial clients.
Prior to S&P Global, Pranay spent nearly a decade at Mercuria Energy Trading and began his career at Drewry Shipping Consultants. He holds a BSc in Mathematics and an MBA in Finance and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (Singapore).
Metallurgical Engineer with B.Tech Degree. 37 years of operational experience in recovery coke making. Carried out Plant modifications for improving process efficiency by using inhouse developed systems, web based systems, delay analysis for demurrage control, material handling systems in coal and coke plants. Actively involved in implementation of Environmental control actions to comply with Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) by adopting engineering measures and improving awareness among the employees. Regularly participated in employee motivation through HR interventions, Awareness programs, Quality Circles, better house keeping and improved aesthetics through 5 S based housekeeping standards.
Mr. Na Hong is from ACRE Coking & Refractory Engineering Consulting Corporation, MCC, and serves as Vice President of ACRE Industrial Solution India Private Limited, being responsible for the company's business in East Asia, South Asia and Southeast Asia. With nearly 20 years of experience in the coking industry, he is a seasoned professional in the implementation and delivery of international coking projects. He has been deeply involved in the consultation, feasibility study, engineering design and project implementation of dozens of coking projects in India, Japan, Indonesia and other countries, and has also participated in the import of equipment for the execution of multiple Chinese projects, boasting rich experience in business, logistics and project execution. He has a profound understanding of plant-wide coking process technologies and the development trends of the coking industry. He holds a Master’s Degree and professional qualifications such as National Registered Consulting Engineer.
Alessandro Sciamarelli holds the position of Director of Economic Studies and Market Analysis at the European Steel Association (EUROFER) based in Brussels, where he carries out economic research and analysis linked to the steel sector. Prior to joining EUROFER, he held for over ten years equivalent positions at other Brussels-based European associations (namely in the mortgage lending sector and the cement sector) and, before that, he worked for the Economic Studies Office of a leading cement and construction group in Rome and for the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) in Maastricht. He has dual nationality (Italian and Belgian) and he holds a PhD in Economics (1999) and a degree in political science (1995) from the University of Pisa, Italy.
